Hi-Tech International have been manufacturing hovercraft in Italy since 1995. www.hovercraft.it The company is ISO 9001-2008 certified and all hovercraft are built to the regulations of ISO 12217-3 as required for small craft and are certified to that effect by R.I.N.A., the Italian Shipping Registry.
For service in North America, HTI Hovercraft will fully comply with the construction and stability regulations set down by both the United States Coast Guard and Transport Canada
In fact, HTI are the only manufacturer to produce light hovercraft with any form of Quality Assurance certification or compliance with international maritime safety and stability requirements. Equivalent hovercraft produced by competitors are built only for the recreational toy market evading commercial quality and safety standards.
HTI Hovercraft are in service with search and rescue agencies worldwide. Notably, our hovercraft have seen service in Thailand during the tsunami disaster of 2004 and in England during the massive flooding in of 2007. The performance of the hovercraft in the British floods was so impressive that it resulted in an order for units for the Gloucester Fire and Rescue Service and the personal thanks of the Hon. Gordon Brown, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. |
