The ARUN 790 is a 7.9 metre rigid hull inflatable boat based around a vee form, single chine hull design. The after sections are of constant deadrise to promote predictable handling at speed and the chine incorporates a spray rail, to promote dry running and constructed and suitably stiffened for operation at high speed in all international waters. Heavy duty shock mitigating bolster seating manufactured by Shockwave is installed to protect the crew from injury due to high G forces.
The Arun 790 is designed and constructed for ease of maintenance and repair. All under deck areas are readily accessible and modular component construction permits fast replacement of damaged parts.
The hull is divided into five watertight compartments; Bow, Forefoot, Storage Locker, Midships and Fuel Tanks To reduce the possibility of water permeability, the bow, forefoot and midships compartments are filled with high density buoyancy foam. All Arun craft are designed to recover from a capsize.
